I’m a Brooklyn-based wedding photographer originally from the rural suburbs of Minneapolis! As a kid, I had a big imagination and marched to the beat of my own drum. Whether I was putting on shows in the living room for my family, sewing doll clothes with my grandma, or hanging out with my imaginary friend, Martha Stewart (I wish I was kidding), I could always be found doing something creative. It came as no surprise to my family when I told them I wanted to pursue photography full-time.

Like many queer women, I had a hard time envisioning myself getting married one day. While other girls my age dreamed about their weddings, I just didn’t really get it. I never watched rom-coms growing up, and I still don't understand The Bachelor (sorry!!). It wasn't until I came out that I began to see weddings from a more personal perspective. For the first time, I could picture myself in that story, and I found a deep appreciation for the people involved. I think that experience has shaped the way I photograph weddings today, allowing me to approach every celebration with empathy, curiosity, and genuine care for the people at the center of it all. My approach is simple: presence over performance. My work is rooted in being intentional, observant, and fully present, allowing moments to unfold naturally while still providing thoughtful guidance when needed.

This looks like working with your natural movements and dynamics as a couple while making sure your hands don’t look awkward. It looks like keeping the energy easy and lighthearted during family photos while quietly reminding Dad to button his jacket. It looks like stepping back and giving you space when you suddenly get emotional as Grandma sees you for the first time.

It also looks like knowing when not to force a moment. I won’t make you put your veil in again just because your coordinator thinks it’s the “perfect” photo. I’d rather get a sick photo of you and your mom tucked away in a supply closet moments before your ceremony, fumbling to put your veil in.

My approach is not one-size-fits-all. Every couple needs a different level of direction, support, and attention, and my experience has taught me when to step in, when to offer guidance, and when to simply let a moment happen. Most of my couples come into their wedding day with little to no experience being professionally photographed (aside from an engagement session with me). Just because I do this every weekend doesn’t mean you do. I understand that being in front of a camera can feel unfamiliar, and maybe even a little scary. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WHEN WORKING WITH ME

With over 6 years in the wedding industry and over 200 weddings photographed, I consider myself a pro when it comes to navigating the pace, emotions, and unpredictability of a wedding day. I also bring 10 years of photography experience and a formal education in Graphic Design to my work. I spent two years at the University of Minnesota before transferring and finishing my BFA at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan. While I don’t use my degree in the traditional sense, my time in art school shaped the way I approach photography, refining my eye for composition, curating intentional imagery, and constantly striving to perfect my craft.

Beyond the technical side of photography, I pride myself on being observant, adaptable, and emotionally aware. I have a natural ability to read the room, anticipate what’s needed, and create space for moments to unfold authentically.
