I am a queer, New York City-based wedding photographer. Drawn to emotion and the beauty in everyday moments, I approach my work with mindfulness and intuition – balancing gentle guidance with an observational presence. What I value most about my job is the ability to connect with people and witness their stories unfold in raw, vulnerable ways. I hope that my work is a reflection of these moments: honest, emotive, and intentionally seen. Originally from Minneapolis, I’m now based in Brooklyn, where I live with my cat, Phoebe. I have a formal background in Graphic Design and previously interned at the United Nations. While I am a bit of a homebody, I enjoy the occasional flea market trip, spending time upstate, and trying new bars in Fort Greene. 2026 marks my 4th year in New York, and my 6th season photographing weddings.

ABOUT EMMA

Ironically, I am not a hopeless romantic. I don't indulge in cheesy rom-coms, and I don't cry during proposals. Despite this, I adore my job. What I find so special about documenting weddings is the opportunity to watch and observe as the day unfolds in such a raw and vulnerable way.

There isn’t a single word to describe my approach; however, my philosophy is presence over performance. While I will give gentle direction throughout the day, I aim to blend seamlessly into the background, strategically observing all that is happening around me. I find that the most special photos are not the ones that are planned; they are the ones you don’t realize happened at all. The quiet interactions, the soft glances, and the genuine emotions that might otherwise go unnoticed are often the moments that matter most.
